Port Denison was discovered in 1859 by Capt. H.D. Sinclair, Jas. Gordon, Poole and Thomas in the Santa Barbara. Proclaimed a port in 1861.
The date of the pictures was most likely between 1868 and 1870. A Port Denison Almanac 1868 gives an account of the activities of the district and township of Bowen. It is likely that it would take at le...
