Administrative / Biographical history
Robert Lendlmayer von Lendenfeld was born in Austria in 1858. He arrived in Melbourne in 1881. In 1885 and 1886 he visited the Autralian Alps searching for glacial tracks, after which he returned to Europe and took up professorial roles in Austria, the Ukraine and Prague, where he died in 1913.
