August Bouveret, 1848-1940, came to Australia in 1852 and traveled around the goldfields of Victoria until 1863 when he went to New Caledonia. He returned to Australia in 1864 and spent some time in central western New South Wales and Queensland before taking up tin mining around Emmaville, N.SW., until 1920 when he went to Sydney
