Administrative / Biographical history
The group are likely members of the Maliangapa tribe, who had a camp near the creek on the Yancannia station. Some of the tribe worked as shepherds, labourers and household workers on the station. Maliangapa territory had once extended between the Barrier and Grey Ranges along New South Wales’ western border.
