Explorer and settler. Crawford arrived in Sydney in Oct. 1838 and overlanded cattle to Adelaide. He went to New Zealand in 1839, then returned to England. In 1845 he rented "Forest Lodge", Sydney and purchased "Eton Vale", Darling Downs, Qld., in partnership with Sir Arthur Hodgson. 1847-48 he observed geological structures throughout N.S.W. and in...
