Administrative / Biographical history

A passenger steamer owned by the Australian Steam Navigation Company, built in 1853. It was stranded ashore on Collaroy Beach in 1881 and remained there for 4 years. The steamer was recovered and put back into service plying between Sydney and the Hunter River. Withdrawn in 1886, it was converted to a schooner, sailed to San Francisco and ran ashor...
