An attribution is written in ink at lower left and right beneath framelines, 'Drawn by E. Dayes from a Picture in the Colony, Engraved by F. Jukes.

Date note

W. Moore in his Story of Australian Art, v.2 p.141, states that the original was despatched to London, November 17, 1802. This is probably the bases of Sir William Dixson, who gives that date as that when James Thomson sailed.
