General note
This view resembles another by Hoskins (SV*/Wor W I/7) which shows the Royal Navy ship HMS Triumph at anchor on 24 May 1915, the day before her sinking (within view of the ANZAC trenches) by a German submarine. It is possible this drawing is also of HMS Triumph.

Gilbert Patrick Hoskins was a private in the 9th Battalion AIF, part of the covering force for the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. He produced a number of watercolours recording Allied naval operations from a viewpoint at an elevated post ashore.
