This collection was passed down through the family from Fountain Anthony Winter to his daughter Minnie Small and then to her grandson Ross Dearden.
Administrative / Biographical history
Fountain Anthony Winter was an Alderman of North Sydney Council and co-founder of The People's Bridge League in 1899. The People's Bridge League was formed to advocate for a bridge to be built from Sydney to North Sydney, "built by the people for the people". The first meeting was held at the School of Arts, North Sydney on 14 July 1899.
