Administrative / Biographical history
Thomas Sutcliffe Mort, 1816-1878, pioneer merchant, came to Sydney from England in 1838 and established his own business as auctioneer-broker in 1843. George Edward Nicholas Weston, 1800-1856, first came to Australia in 1829 and married Blanche Johnston, daughter of Lieut.-Colonel George Johnston. He built Horsley at Fairfield, N.S.W.
