Administrative / Biographical history
Sydney Ancher (1904-1978) studied at the Sydney Technical College (1924-1929) and worked as a draughtsman with Prevost, Synot and Ruwald. In 1929 Ancher was awarded the Australian Medallion and Travelling Scholarship from the NSW Chapter Board of Architects and spent 5 years travelling and working in Europe and England.
