Joseph Brady, civil engineer, was born on 18 August 1828, near Enniskillen, Ireland. In 1850 he migrated to Sydney, N.S.W. where he became a draftsman with the Sydney Railway Company. In January 1851, Brady resigned this position and moved to Melbourne, Victoria where under the city surveyor, James Blackburn, he carried out surveys for the Yan Ye...
