Administrative / Biographical history
Ethel Qua (nee Loneragan) was born in Hartley Vale, NSW in 1883. She graduated as a nurse in 1908 from Melbourne Hospital. She left Australia in 1911 to travel overseas and during World War 1 served as a nurse with the Canadian Army in France, England and Salonica.
