Daniel Manders Beere was born in Ireland in 1833. During the 1850's he worked in Toronto, Canada with his uncle, William Armstrong, and Humphrey Lloyd Hime, in the prominent engineering, surveying and photographic firm of Armstrong, Beere, and Hime. In 1863 Beere arrived in New Zealand and worked in the North Island as an engineer and surveyor. He...
