Administrative / Biographical history
James Thomas Walker, 1841-1922, was born in Scotland but lived mainly in New South Wales. He was a member of the People's Federal Convention at Bathurst in 1897 and a delegate to the Australasian Federal Convention, 1897-98. He sat as a Liberal and Free Trader in the Upper House of four Federal parliaments before retiring in 1913.
