Administrative / Biographical history

George Edward Edmondson, a customs clerk of Redfern, Sydney was born in Waverley and enlisted at Marrickville aged 23, 17 Jan. 1916. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A8 Argyllshire, 11 May 1916 and served as a gunner in the 25th Battery, 7th Field Artillery Brigade, in France and Belgium.
