Oliver Hogue (1880-1919), journalist of Glebe Point, Sydney enlisted aged 34 in the Australian Imperial Force as a trooper with the 6th Light Horse Regiment, Sept. 1914. Commissioned second lieutenant in November, he embarked for Egypt with the 2nd L.H. Brigade on the Suevic, 20 Dec. 1914. Hogue served on Gallipoli with the Light Horse (dismounted)...
