Administrative / Biographical history
Joan M. Ritchie first met the author Kylie Tennant at Laurieton, N.S.W., in 1947, while hitchhiking from Brisbane to Sydney. They were frequently in touch until Tennant moved to the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Ritchie worked as a librarian before pursuing an academic career, chiefly as an historian.
