Robert Wardell, 1793-1834, barrister and newspaper editor, born in England, arrived in Australia in 1824. He founded the Australian newspaper with W. C. Wentworth in October 1824 and was editor and owner of the paper until 1828, when he sold it and devoted himself to practising law and farming activities
