Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Windeyer Ralston, 1885-1971, soldier and barrister, was the son of A. G. Ralston. He served in World War 1914-1919 in New Guinea, Gallipoli, Egypt and France and was awarded the D.S.O., 1917 and C.M.G., in 1918. He married Florence Mary Currie in 1927. His brother, Edward G.
