Thomas Stuart Gurr was birn in Bombay in 1877 and educated as an engineer. He moved to New Zealand in 1902 and to Melbourne, Victoria in 1916. He was General Manager of he 'Sunday Times', Sydney, 1919-1922. Gurr wrote plays for broadcasting and contributed stories to Australian magazines
