Alexander Hugh (Alec) Chisholm was born in Maryborough, Victoria in 1890. He worked on the Maryborough Advertiser before moving to the Brisbane Daily Mail in 1915. Subsequently he was editor of the Melbourne Argus and the Australasian. In 1923 he married Olive Haseler. A keen naturalist and conservationist, he wrote numerous articles and books on n...
