Administrative / Biographical history
Stuart Campbell was born in Sydney in 1903 and studied enigineering at Sydney Universtity. In 1926 he joined the RAAF and in 1928 served as pilot and photographic officer on a flight from HMAS Albatross, the first Australian aircraft carrier. He was chief pilot on Sir Douglas Mawson's expeditions to Antarctica, 1929-31. In 1933 he worked his passa...
