Administrative / Biographical history
Verner William Cocks, an articled clerk of Randwick, New South Wales enlisted at the age of 21 on 25 Aug. 1915 and embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A8 Argyllshire, 11 May 1916 to serve with the 9th Field Ambulance. He was wounded in action in France, 20 Oct. 1917 and returned to Australia on HT Borda, May 1919
