Administrative / Biographical history

Josiah Spencer was born in 1841 in England. By 1870 he was the Rector at Christ Church in Grafton. He married Bessie Perry from Bendemeer in 1871. He was appointed the Chaplain in Cyprus in 1879 and was also the Inspector of schools. In 1896 he became the Archdeacon in Cyprus. He died in April 1901.
