Henry John Wilson (1827-1904) was born at Sledagh Hall, Wexford, Ireland. He was educated at the Diocesan School at Wexford and Trinity College Dublin. In 1850 he emigrated to Canada. In 1852 he travelled to Australia where he spent nine months on the Victorian goldfields before taking up land in Tasmania. Wilson married Louisa Sophia Thomas in...
