Fred Harold Tomlins, farmer of Cobar, New South Wales and son of Tim and Margaretta Tomlins enlisted in the 1st Australian Light Horse Regiment at the age of 23, on 22 Aug. 1914. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A16 Star of Victoria, 20 Oct. 1914 and after a period of training in Australia was sent to Egypt. He served at Gallipoli, Egypt and P...
