Esther Ryrie was born Esther Maude E Roberts (1877-1967) in Paddington in Sydney in 1877, the daughter of Colonel Charles Fyshe Roberts (1837-1914) and his wife Alice Caroline nee Bradley. Esther married Vincent Ryrie in 1903 at Woollahra in Sydney. They had 3 children, born at Woollahra: Theodora Vincent, born 1904 referred to in the letters as...
