Woodford Academy, Woodford, N.S.W., was founded in 1906 when the lease of Cooerwull Academy at Bowenfells was not renewed by the Council of St Andrew's College. J. F. McManamey, who had been Rector of Cooerwull Academy from 1903 continued as the headmaster of Woodford Academy until its closing on 28 August 1936
