Administrative / Biographical history
Henry Dangar (1796-1861), surveyor and pastoralist, was born at St. Neot Cornwall, England. He was the first of six brothers to emigrate arriving at Sydney in 1821. He was appointed Assistant Surveyor of Lands and surveyed the Camden and Argyle counties before being transferred to Newcastle where he surveyed Newcastle and the Hunter River district....
