William (Will) Lawson (1876-1957), author, was born in England and migrated to New Zealand with his family in 1880. Inspired by the poetry of Henry Lawson (no relation), he wrote ballads, short stories and novels. After his wife left him in 1942, he lived with Henry Lawson’s widow, Bertha, at Northbridge in Sydney until her death in 1957. Together...
