The diary has remained with the artist and has been passed down by descent to Charles Blackwood Raven in 1968. It has remained in private hands.

Jessie Traill (1881-1967) was a Melbourne born artist who studied at the National Gallery School (1902-1906) under John Mather, Frederick McCubbin and in London with Frank Brangwyn.
