Lance Corporal J. G. Burgess, tram conductor of Redfern, Sydney, New South Wales was born in St Arnaud, Victoria and enlisted in Sydney at the age of 27, 8 Sept. 1914. He embarked on board Transport A29 Suevic, 21 Dec. 1914 and served with the 6th Regiment, Australian Light Horse, B Squadron at Gallipoli and in the desert campaign against the Turks...
