Florence Mary Taylor (1879-1969), architect and publisher, was born in Somerset, England. Her family migrated to Sydney in 1884 where John worked for the Department of Public Works. After his death in 1899, Florence became a draftsman. She married George Augustine Taylor in 1907 and became the first Australian woman to fly in a glider in 1909. Wit...
