We establish the regularities of variations of the intensity of wear of 110Kh18M steel depending on the quantitative characteristics of the hardening phase. The recommended interval of the volume content of carbides is 18–21% with the average distance between the carbides not smaller than 8 μm which corresponds to the minimum wear.
