Recallling his experiences during WWII, Bryson reflects on the ethics of forecasting and the wartime traumas he experienced. Bryson concludes that when meteorologists make operational forecasts they are dealing with life and death matters. A bad forecast on a global scale might cost trillions of dollars and whole economies.
