Prime Minister John Major sued two British magazines for libel Thursday after they reported rumors he had an extramarital affair with a caterer. The caterer, Clare Latimer, also filed suit against the satirical magazine Scallywag and the left-leaning publication New Statesman & Society and their distributors.
