The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has restricted aircraft arrivals into DCA since 11 September 2001, to become a Gateway, an FBO has to meet the strict security requirements outlined by the TSA. As of 9 March 2012 only 102 general aviation entities across the US have been approved as DCA Gateway locations.
