Dr Rudranath Talukdar was fired in 2002 after he took part in a federal investigation into claims the department was underpaying foreign doctors on a temporary visa program. The visa program stipulates that IMGs must be paid the same as US doctors. The hospital has been ordered to pay more than $200,000 in back pay to several doctors.
