Vodafone, the UK's largest cellular operator, has sold part of its holding in Globalstar - one of several consortia planning satellite- based global mobile communications series - to Loral Space and Communications of the US, leader of the Globalstar consortium. The $117 million sale reduces Vodafone's stake from 5.15% to 3.14%.
