Octagonal shaped. Smooth surface on top and base. Circular hole in centre contains a typewritten note giving history of the wood: '.... Found in a well which had been dug on the line of the old Tank Stream' describes how wood was found during demolition in 1901 in an old Tannery, built in the 1860's and owned by a Mr. Alderson. Note further states...
