Administrative / Biographical history

The Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill (ARAFMI) was formed following a seminar organised by Mrs Margaret Lukes. Their first meeting was held on 7th March 1975 at the North Sydney office of the N.S.W. Mental Health Association with Mr R. G. Williams as Chairman, Margaret Lukes as the Deputy Chair, and Mrs J. Hough, Secretary.
