Administrative / Biographical history
David Moore (1927–2003), one of Australia's most significant photographers, began his career in the studios of Russell Roberts in 1947. Later he worked with Max Dupain before travelling to London in 1951. Dorothy Morton was David Moore's mother. Dorothy Morton’s maternal grandfather was Alexander Moreton, Director of the Tasmanian Museum Hobart.
