Arthur Clyde Giles, born in Glebe, Sydney was a steward on the New Zealand passenger ship Maunganui, which at the outbreak of war was converted to a troopship, and continued working on this and other troopships until May 1915. He enlisted in the A.I.F. at the age of 28 on 10 June 1915, stating his occupation as boundary rider, and served with the 1...
