The series consists of a brief written annual report, balance sheet, income and expenditure account, and lists of grants and loans made by the Trustees. From 1973 there is a summary of grants and loans made year by year since the inception of the Foundation on 20 July 1959.
There are no reports for 1967-1970; 1972, 1974-1975.

The Fairfax Foundation was established in 1959 with a gift of 200,000 pounds from the Fairfax Family in 1956 when Fairfax became a public company. The role of the Foundation was to provide financial assistance to retired staff, the families of deceased staff members and similar causes.
