Administrative / Biographical history
E.S. Chapman was probably one of the first insurance broking companies in Australia and was a leading agency manager, particularly in the marine area. In 1966 E.S. Chapman merged with Bailleu Insurances of which Mr Allan Butt was a partner. Mr Butt collected the material and saved it for eventual deposit.
