a. Member of Yarram Tribe, S. Gippsland [South Gippsland], Angus McWilliam met him at junction of the Latrobe and Thompson [sic.] Rivers - the first native to whom McWilliam spoke - has lame leg, so stayed when rest of tribe ran away. Known as 'Old Man Morgan'. Died nearly 80 years ago.
