Francois Michel Ronsard, French naval officer, was born in 1770. He was a member of the French naval construction department, being a master shipwright and a lieutenant in the navy, when he was an officer on the corvette Geographe on Baudin's expedition to Australia with the Geographe and the Naturaliste, 1800-1804
