Sergeant Alfred Bray, a clerk of Hurstville, N.S.W., enlisted at Holdsworthy, 23 Aug. 1915 at the age of 18. He served with the 18th Battalion, 7th Reinforcement and from Feb. 1916 with the 3rd Battalion in France and Belgium, Apr. 1916 - June 1918. He was wounded in action 21 Oct. 1917 and gassed 20 June 1918, returning to Australia on the Somali,...
