Administrative / Biographical history
Robert Clark Morgan brought the first settlers to South Australia in the Duke of York in 1836. While whaling in the Pacific he became interested in the work of the London Missionary Society in Tahiti and Samoa and subsequently commanded the Society's ships Camden and John Williams. He died in 1864.
